These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the rental and use of the event venue operated by Old Bay Marina Venue ("Venue," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 7200 Bay Front Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21219. By submitting a booking inquiry, signing a rental agreement, or making a deposit, you ("Client") agree to be bound by this Agreement.
1. Venue Use
The Venue is a private waterfront property on the Chesapeake Bay in Edgemere, Maryland. Approved uses include private celebrations (weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, graduation parties, retirement celebrations, engagement parties, family reunions), corporate gatherings, and other events expressly approved in writing by Old Bay Marina Venue.
The Venue accommodates a maximum of 50 guests unless otherwise agreed in writing. Exceeding the approved guest count is grounds for immediate termination of the event without refund.
Use of the Venue is subject to all applicable federal, Maryland state, and local laws and ordinances, including noise ordinances, fire codes, and alcohol regulations. The Client is solely responsible for ensuring compliance.
2. Booking and Deposits
A reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of a signed rental agreement and the required deposit. Booking inquiries and online form submissions do not constitute a confirmed reservation.
Deposit amounts and payment schedules will be specified in your individual rental agreement. Deposits are non-refundable except as expressly stated in Section 3 below.
The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days prior to the event date unless otherwise specified in your rental agreement.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@oldbaymarinavenue.com. Cancellation fees are as follows:
More than 90 days before the event: Deposit is non-refundable; no additional cancellation fee.
31–90 days before the event: 50% of the total rental fee is due.
30 days or fewer before the event: 100% of the total rental fee is due.
Old Bay Marina Venue reserves the right to cancel a reservation due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure), including but not limited to severe weather, natural disaster, or government-ordered closures. In such cases, the Client will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional charge.
4. Weather Policy
Old Bay Marina Venue is an outdoor waterfront venue. Events proceed rain or shine unless Old Bay Marina Venue determines that conditions pose a safety risk. We strongly encourage Clients to purchase event insurance and to have a contingency plan for inclement weather. The Venue is not responsible for weather-related disruptions.
5. Vendors and Catering
Clients are welcome to bring their own vendors, catering, food, beverages, and decorations unless restricted by your specific package or rental agreement. All vendors must comply with applicable health, safety, and licensing requirements.
Alcohol may only be served in compliance with Maryland state law. If alcohol will be served, Clients are responsible for ensuring that all servers are of legal age and comply with applicable regulations. The Venue reserves the right to require a licensed and insured bartender or caterer.
6. Damage and Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit may be required at the time of booking. The amount will be specified in your rental agreement. The security deposit, or a portion thereof, may be withheld to cover:
Damage to the Venue, property, or equipment beyond normal wear and tear;
Excessive cleaning required after the event;
Unauthorized use of areas of the property;
Failure to vacate by the agreed end time.
The Client is liable for any damages exceeding the security deposit amount.
7. Liability and Indemnification
The Client assumes full responsibility for the safety and conduct of all guests, vendors, and other individuals present at the event. Old Bay Marina Venue shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or claim arising from the Client's event, including accidents occurring on or near the waterfront.
The Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Old Bay Marina Venue and its owners, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in connection with the Client's use of the Venue.
Old Bay Marina Venue carries general liability insurance. We strongly recommend that Clients obtain their own event liability insurance prior to the event.
